A survey by a UK pet insurance company has found that one in five dog owners admit that they feed their pets a better diet than they eat themselves.

I’m not sure whether this is good news for the dogs, very bad news for the owners… or both.

Seriously, though - feeding your dog your own meal scraps may not be in his or her best interests. Dogs are just as prone to health problems - including excessive weight - from an unsuitable diet as we are. Research a suitable diet for your dog from reputable sources on the web (sorry, the Hound TV dog diet page isn’t finished yet!) or ask your vet.
